Part of Our Story: Collaborating to Provide Enterprise-Level Solutions to Small- and Medium-Sized Businesses
Nearly a decade ago, along with other MSPs who work with small and medium sized businesses, we noticed that small and medium businesses didn’t have as many options as their larger counterparts when it came to cybersecurity, which left them vulnerable.
This is because, while large enterprises could afford the most comprehensive, up-to-date tools, smaller businesses were left exposed due to the high costs and complexity of these solutions. In some cases, leading solutions weren’t available at all to businesses with smaller teams or budgets.
To bridge this gap, Expera teamed up with other Managed Service Providers across North America. Together, we reached out to the companies that offered leading security toolsets, to determine if it was possible to bring these offerings to the SMB market. “We got together and knocked on a lot of doors,” explains our CEO and Founder, Vince Fung.
Together, we created cost-effective and accessible security packages optimized for small to medium-sized organizations, ensuring that these businesses could access the same level of protection as larger ones.
Continuing to Empower Businesses Through vCSO, Strategy, and Advisory
Ten years later, with cybersecurity a key topic in industries ranging from oil and gas, to supply chain, to utilities, there’s now a wider range of cybersecurity options for SMBs, but we continue to innovate to bring the best possible solutions to our customers.
We’ve continued to expand our offerings with solutions like vCIO (Virtual Chief Information Officer) and vCSO (Virtual Chief Security Officer), which enables smaller businesses or organizations access to senior-level expertise at a fraction of the cost of hiring a full-time team member.
These solutions are ideal for small to medium businesses, as well as startups and new businesses seeking to kick off their journey on the right foot when it comes to key issues like compliance and cybersecurity.
As we move forward, we continue to look for ways to create packages or offer solutions that keep our customers at the cutting edge.
